The DNI Run Launch
The DNI Run, an urgent appeal taking place over the 16th/17th May involves the Dublin Neurological Institute’s frontline staff and their supporters undertaking runs and walks to accumulate as many kilometers as possible and as much funds as possible to support the critical DNI patient services. DNI’s normal fund raising efforts have been decimated by the COVID-19 pandemic and the accompanying lockdown so we have had to switch to ‘virtual’ co-operation and fundraising across Ireland and across the World to support our activities.
The two day event was kicked off at our building No. 57 Eccles Street , a renovated Georgian House, adjacent to the Mater hospital. We were delighted that Jim Gavin, the outstanding manager that led the Dublin Senior GAA football team to 5 in a row All-Ireland Senior Football Championships lent his support and time to the appeal. Jim has been very generous with his support in previous years for our fundraising activities.
Jim was joined by Rebecca McDonnell and Prof. Tim Lynch (Clinical Director of the DNI). Rebecca who manages reception at the DNI, organised the event and also plays for the Dublin Senior Ladies football team.
The Appeal remains open and if you can support us please go to the folowing link:
