The 16th annual golf outing in aid of the Centre for Brain Health was held last Friday, 29th September in the Hermitage golf club. We are so grateful to those who played, who sponsored the event and our many many friends who made donations. It was wonderful to see so many of our friends who have supported us over the years. The atmosphere was fantastic and we are humbled by the generosity of all concerned. Picture above is Prof. Tim Lynch being welcomed to Hermitage by Captain Paul Maher who kindly presented this beautiful bicycle to the Centre for Brain Health. It proved to be a very attractive and sought after raffle prize.

This year approximately 44,000 people across Ireland will be diagnosed with a neurological condition, that’s in addition to the 700,000 people already diagnosed. Today with a ratio of just 1 per 140,625 people, Ireland has the lowest number of Consultant Neurologists per head of population in the entire western world. The Dublin Neurological Institute will go a long way towards improving the care and services available for neurological patients but we need your help to continue funding this essential facility.
